Given the past week and all of its ups and downs , I have carefully considered what I wish to put out into the world. First and most importantly, I hope you are all safe and well and and taking necessary precautions to stay that way. If you are ill, I pray for your full and speedy recovery.

While we must stay responsibly informed of the latest updates, we should also know when to turn away. The deluge of information can overwhelm our spirits in a time when we must carefully guard them. We must stay strong. I encourage you to step outside, even if you only have a small balcony, and to look for the beauty in the world. If you don’t have a garden, then look at the skies both night and day. You will always find beauty in nature IF you look for it. Springtime currently blesses the northern hemisphere with its stunning explosion of color and scents. Those of you in the southern hemisphere can be swept away by the comforting rich hues of turning leaves and harvest moons.

Take for instance, the tiny rosebud pictured above. This “ray of beauty” greeted me in my front yard and reminded me that even in the midst of these stressful times, beauty and goodness are in abundance.  This tiny bud refuses to panic, to give up or quit. It forges ahead with its intentions to bloom fully. I think we can all learn a lesson and hold tight to a blessing gained from this simple flower.

Nature renews and restores us. That is why I take my design inspirations from it. From photography to jewelry and accessories, my travels from the most affected parts of the world to my own back yard have shown me the beauty of the earth, its plants and animals, and people. Today I heard something that resonated very strongly with me: “God can bring greatness out of a great mess.” If we can stay strong and faithful, like my little rosebud, we will see greatness and beauty on the other side of this.

Thank you for supporting a small business like mine, especially during this time. Moreover, thank you to those who work on the front lines and to those in the service industries doing whatever it takes to support all of us.  We are in this together. May we all come through this greater, kinder, stronger and more compassionate toward each other and to ourselves.

With love,

Rebecca
